@cmc1911 very cool video looks like you had alot of fun. its great to see archery without sights and all that tech put in. a stick and a string is how it should be in my opinion.
i used to use cedar, but i found for my war arrows they simply were not durable enough. i ended up making arrows out of oak dowels between 3/8 and 7/16. and through trial and error i found my proper spine with the arrowheads i make. though ive been fletching and shooting longbow since the age of 10. so its natural
@13TK I shoot port orford cedar shafts, the very best for hunting and have never failed me in practice, even stump shooting. for your spine weights 3 rivers archery has a chart to match your bow. I shoot #70 spine weight out of my #55 pound recurve and have recieved great success. Study the "Archers Paradox" and you'll find an entire new world opening to your traditional shooting. Thats my piece anyway, Carbon are faster but everyone should try port orford cedar.
