Skywatcher / Lidmotor-- "CRAZY LIGHT"

Here is the CFL light shown with more details on how it works. The 555 timer circuit is shown along with the strange AA battery pack charging circuit. Skywatcher came up with this idea and I have added to the design what I know. I call it the"CRAZY LIGHT" because the whole thing is a bit nuts. You take a wall outlet transformer and tickle it backwards to light up the modified CFL.----Then you charge up the batteries by running the juice through them backwards??!!!! Great fun.

@GrandpaTD -----Sorry but I don't send out my circuit diagrams and there is no link to them. If you frezze frame this video you should be able to make out the circuit even though it is a little fuzzy.

The voltage travel your talking about is called SUPER-POSITION. The most strong current over rides the lower current. I just got done learning this in my electronics class. As for the circuit design charging the batteries backword that's a new concept for me.

egn83b--- It is a new concept for me also. The way these Nimh rechargables are reacting to this is interesting to watch. They are accepting the energy. I'm rotating them every 12 hours now since I made the video. The light is still on. If this runs past 2 days then maybe there is something to this weird method. The power drain is about 100mA on the source but while that is going on some of that energy is getting into 1.5 v packs and charging them up. Strange stuff.

The two positives is running sort of like "Radiant Energy" have you tried playing with "Cold Electricity" yet? it's really an amazing way of extracting amazing power just by connecting together HV(High Voltage) positive to a LV (Low Voltage) positive. Having it jump through a spark gap within what's called an Earl Gray Tube. Are you familiar with this? it's very very interesting

Hi Jack,

Aloha. I wish I was there. I miss the place. The CFL has to be taken apart and the circuit removed. I tried one without taking it apart but something is wrong and it doesn't work. Same thing with the transformer because there is a little rectifier circuit in there that has to come out to run it backwards.
