Vincennes: It is THE place!

Founded by French in 1732; ceded to Britain w/ 1763 Treaty of Paris; taken from Britain by 26 yr-old George Roger Clark and his band of Merrymen; home to vaudeville and Red Skelton at the Pantheon Theatre; Vancennes is a Gem of a town.Here are pix from Househunting trip in 12-08. Ahhh, Vincennes....a great home. Panther doesn't know what he/she's walking about...there's always someone who says, "actually it's a hellhole"...it actually makes me laugh because someone says that about EVERY TOWN...

this is actually a great town, it's just some people make it a hell hole, and it depends who you come in contact with. I think it's a great small town, filled with nice, caring people. I'm glad to call it my home!

I lived in Vincennes, IN, and still do to this day. This city or town is neither too small or big, just the right size. Panther might normally reside in Jasper lol, if you went to school in Vincennes, you know what I mean. I plan to only go out of Vinny just for college, and come right back.

I've never had any problems with them. I'm not the going out and partying and getting drunk type of guy. As long as they keep arresting the scum I'm ok with them.

panther is right. it does suck now, but it wasnt always that way. before the crackheads ruined fun for everybody else, it was in fact the place. but its still better than where i'm at now.

Vincennes? A gem? Surely you jest. Have you actually been here?! Its a horrible place to live, I've been here most of my life and I absolutely hate it. But don't get me wrong, I don't reserve all of my hate for this one putrid hellhole, I hate all of Knox county.
