This is my entry into the Tony Blair Faith Foundation 'Faith Shorts' competition. They asked amateur filmmakers from the age of 18-25 how their faith inspired them. I entered a pitch for this idea, and won a video camera for it, and made my film.
The film depicts a group of awesome youth in Wellington, NZ, living in a self-built slum in the city centre to raise money for World Vision, raise awareness amongst people and to challenge themselves to live as millions do everyday. It is contrasted with film taken from the field, courtesy from World Vision.
Big love to Exposure Media in Auckland.
My faith in Jesus inspired me to start this event (New Zealand Slum City) in 2009 and to make a film of it in 2010. Enjoy!
