These women are only expressing their voices & to be arrested is just ridiculous. My guess is muslim men are afraid to give their women equal rights. They'd prefer silent women with cooking skills....but according to them they must "honor thy husband" what a load of shit...honor thy whore husband...while you women sit at home, your husbands seek "HAPPY ENDINGS". But that's another story...I applaud these women for taking that extra step further....

@TheDirtyPaki I wasn't speaking specifically about Islamic dress code, just Islamic oppression of women in general. Also, being a "majority Muslim country" does not mean they are controlled by islamic law. I'm assuming you're a Muslim. Here's a piece of advice, straight from me to you. Get off of Youtube and start getting angry about Muslim women being treated as second class citizens under sharia law. Only the most barbaric of citizens could possibly adhere to such an awful system.

In which would you be stoned to death for wearing what?
btw of the 56 majority Muslim countries, 4 of them have a dress code. Turkey and Tunisia have banned the veil and Saudi Arabia and Iran require it. Other than that women can wear whatever they want to in the remaining countries.
don't act like you know shit when you don't.

@TheDirtyPaki Maybe....but in "Christian" countries (although I'm not really sure what that means) women can wear what they want and don't have to worry about being stoned to death.

@TheDirtyPaki right, lets have that discussion; just a quick check on the wikipedia entry on something called "female holders of political offices" tells me that in the US alone there have been 38 women in significant political positions yet, in all those countries u r citing taken together, there have been 24(again, in significant offices) not even that i wanna argue with u about islamic systems and women, but the koran clearly states women r second class humans and thats what i thinnk is wrong

Indonesia-Megawati Sukarnoputri
Bangladesh- Khaleda Zia and Sheikh Hasina
Pakistan-Benazir Bhutto
Turkey- Tansu Ciller
There have been others two but these are the 4 largest ones.
fyi....in my country the percentage of women in Parliament is 22.5%, in your congress it is less than 17%. Source: ipu.org
Don't try to comment about something you know nothing about...you're just reinforcing the stereotype that Americans are stupid and ignorant.

@TheDirtyPaki yeah, like Cleopatra for egypt, right? dont try to fool people with some number tricks, ur overall participation rate of women in politics is still close to zero, unlike in the western world

@TheDirtyPaki here in amerika.... hypocrites are so common because they are not Muslim, so unfortunately they think their lives are normality...
I admire the women of Iran for fighting for their rights.
