  • Will this process work with gold jewelery and bullion as well as gold dust?

  • @jmk1226 Yes.

  • Boric acid is borax. The only purpose borax serves is to allow the molten metal to move around easier in the melting dish and flow when pouring. The only impurities that borax will possibly hold are organic impurities like dirt. You CANNOT simply add borax and rid yourself of unwanted metals. Metals cannot separate in layers (sinking and floating) like many believe. If you want get your gold to a higher purity you must refine it with some type of wet process.

  • @metalicmario That quiet something !! I use Boric Acid in my shoos to kill bacteria ( Since 9 years now... not every day but once every 6 months .. the shoos and feet are totally without smell.) . It is like a grandmother medicine .. I will call it Borax from now on. Thank you for the video !!!

  • @sattanhellsing Its true. Boric acid has many many uses. Go on wikipedia and look for boric acid to see some of its uses. One of them is in the production of nuclear power!

  • All the equipment in the video was under $100. The gold powder is from scrap gold that I refined.

  • Execellent videos, thanks.

I have gold flakes and small nuggets that I got from crushing specimen and then panning the crush repeatedly. I estimate that what I have is 85-90% pure gold. I read that if you have impurities you should mix the crush and borax 50-50. Do you think I need to do that with what I have? Also, I have boric acid rather than borax. Are there any special considerations around using boric acid rather than borax? Thank you.

    Garry

  • I have been searching for something of this nature for some time. Thank you for the vid.

  • @sr71ablackbird combine the acetyl and oxygen and you get a much more intense burn.

  • @metalicmario how much did it cost for the equitment and how much did you pay for the gold powder
