  • Lovely walk through of the car. I grew up with this exact car, 4 door Champion, which my dad bought in '53, then exported to UK where we lived after (it was specially made right hand drive). We kept it til about 1969 and drove it all over Europe.

    Funny you mentioned the single circuit brakes - we had a brake pipe wear through (from scraping on the road, car heavily laden) while driving in France, total brake failure ! luckily it was on a long straight road and we came to no harm.
