The Bob Feller Story is tale of how a boy from the small town of Van Meter, Iowa played hard, worked hard and dreamed of becoming a Major League ballplayer. Bob Feller did just that. Here you'll find the beginning of The Bob Feller Story which was written and produced by Bob Becker, Luanne Bole-Becker, and Morris Eckhouse.

In his time Feller was to pitching what Dimaggio was to center field.Feller was all grace, class and gifted by the hand of God.One could point to his emergence as the beginning of the new era in baseball. Before Feller really is another era.The age of Cy Young,Johnson,Mathewson,Grove and Alexander.
Once Bob Feller arrived in baseball what followed was a new kind of pitcher.Look at Koufax or Juan Marichal, twenty five years later. It's obvious the greats of the 60's were highly influenced by Feller.

@TheRevolutionCanada Joining his career-long Cleveland Indians(CI) at age 17, for $1/yr, he joined the Navy the day after Pearl Harbor, relinquishing 4 1/2 years in the Majors in his prime. He was honest & worked hard all his life. As a CI fan, tho n Washington DC, I saw him pitch vs the Senators & saw him once up close. He was in full red, white & blue CI uniform, looked magical. He was casually talking w/1 person in the grandstand at the entrance to the upper deck. I paused n awe. Wow TY BOB!

RIP MR FELLER, a true legend baseball has lost one of its greats sad sad day
True Class halted a few prime years of his career to serve his country you would never see that now a days (besides pat tillman) the only serving athletes do in todays world regardless of sport is usually jail or prison sentences.

One of the greatest of All-time. A gentleman. Too bad most of the morons who watch the game today have never heard of him. Cliff Lee couldn't carry his jockstrap.
