Violens (supporting White Lies) : Spectator & Pupil : Brixton Academy 19 November 2009

New York band Violens play Spectator & Pupil live at the Brixton Academy on 19 November 2009, supporting White Lies.

Violens continue to play support to White Lies on most of their remaining tour dates through to 5 December, including dates in Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Glasgow and Newcastle. I'd wanted to see Violens again since catching their last 2 songs of their set when they supported White Lies at Heaven back in May. If you are going to any of the aforementioned shows, Violens are worth arriving early for.

There is a Violens Winter 2009 Mixtape available to download free from www.violens.net BTW. It includes a remix of this song and the bands remix of White Lies' Unfinished Business.

Best Support act i have ever seen,

even if only three of them came on stage (i wonder why?) when i saw White Lies in birmingham, but the other support act were terrible, which was such a shame as Violens had been sooo great and really started the night off well. White Lies were epic though

i agree. these guys were good, but the other ones did go on, and i think they forgot it was a support slot they were doing when they brought out the strobe :S white lies were absolutely insane though, such a great feeling when the entire crowd exploded for farewell and to lose my life! the band looked like they were really enjoying it too which is always reassuring. :)

Also at Glasgow, Violens weren't too bad but the other one was wasn't great - it kept going on and on and the womens voice was irritating - needless to say the guys infront of me were convinced that the band with the woman in it were White Lies... very entertaining :L WL were amazing though

Saw these guys last night supporting WL at the o2 academy in glasgow. Only had 2 guitarists and drummer though. Still pretty good. Wasn't that impressed with the other support band though.
