When I was 8, I went to my friends house, who had a bunkbed, to stay the night. She slept on the top bunk, and I slept on the bottom bunk. In the morning, when I woke up, she leaned over the bed and said "What's happening, hot stuff?". Funniest. Moment. Of. My. Life.

@Mainsail76 Yes, but given the lack of Asians in the media, this offensive character became more representative, unfortunately. If there were a thousand neutral or positive Asian characters on TV or film, Asian American school children would not have been taunted as, "Long Duk Dong" just because they were Asian.

@ChinkyAsi4n Every character in "Sixteen Candles" is a stereotype. Dong's girlfriend was a butch unattractive female athlete. Farmer Ted and his two cronies were nerds. Samantha's sister, and Jake's girlfriend were shallow, stuck up blondes. The girl with the neck brace, Jake's dumb jock friend, the two nerds on the bus with underwear on their heads and laser gun toys, all stereotypes.
