Well, it's official. My videocard is dead. Used to be an Nvidia 8600GT With silent cooling, and it used to perform beautifully. No longer.

  • I am happy when my 8600gt is under 120 C. YES 120C!!!!

The ultimate silent technology = no fan. Bullshit. Im using my household fan to keep it from rebooting

  • Tip: Monitor temps, keep card under 100-110C otherwise problems will eventually arise if it gets damaged.

Passive cooling isn't that good, just get an aftermarket cooler if you want your card to last.

  • passive cooling = overheating problems

  • Lmao?

  • You didn't overclock... did you?

    :c

  • thats ur problem that card is not ment 4 gaming

  • that can happens to me if i DONT HABE video card?

  • didnt you read? "Used to be an Nvidia 8600GT With SILENT cooling." so there is no fan

  • Dude, try taking it out, cleaning the dust out on the fan, the PCIe/AGP Port, and make sure it has sufficent airflow. Maybe reinstall drivers too. You may be able to get it to work again. That sucks tho.

  • thats pretty sick lol
