Dave Lemanczyk of http://www.kegconditioning.com shows how to open a steel keg using a small flathead screwdriver. This is something very easy to do if you know what you're doing. It also changes the empty 30 pound keg into a home gym as it can be filled with anything that can fit through the hole in the top of the keg. First depressurize keg by pressing ball valve in to let out excess air. Then remove it as I do in the video. Once you follow these steps, buy a size 12 rubber plug from your local hardware store. If they don't sell size "12" plugs, bring the steel ring you pried out of the keg and ask them form a rubber plug that fits halfway into the hole. This is all you need to turn one keg into a gym! Once you have that taken care of, it's time to get the KEG CONDITIONING training course!

  • You became my hero tonight. I pulled this off, not as quickly as you but i'm drinking now. One question... How do i keep the beer from going flat now? is it as simple as putting the tube back in? Thanks in advance.

  • @SloptimusPrim3 Not totally sure man. I open EMPTY kegs then train with them. If was you, I would drink the beer before it goes flat.

  • F**k you!!! I just spent three hours drilling and prying a half inch hole in the top of the keg in some sort of mechanical abortion, instead of 30 seconds with a screwdriver.

Your URL should be posted on every keg in the country.

Subscribed sir. Now to find a screwdriver.

  • @TheJudoKevin Thanx for the feedback man!

  • Great job Dave that was pretty easy to do.

Thanks for showing us the way, simple but effective just like your keg conditioning

    videos.

  • @BareFisted My pleasure. Thank you for your feedback. I am grateful to receive it.

  • @dlemanczyk Jeez guy, he in no way insulted you. He was just making a safety suggestion.

  • @Elmerfuddgangsta I didn't change the description, I simply made an edit to what was already there. Changing it would mean altering it completely which I did not. Please feel free to make your own how to open and fill a keg video. I would also appreciate seeing some of your own training videos if you have the time. Put yourself out there instead of hiding behind a username like "elmerfuddgangsta" lol.

  • @dlemanczyk oh good you changed the description, thanks now I feel better

  • @Elmerfuddgangsta check the video description mister. thanks for the shout.

  • you should probably say something about the pressure that is inside, if you are not careful the thing inside will shoot out, which can be very dangerous
