Wow, once again you have me in tears. That last bit of how the pillar of fire, the bush, the ark is not just symbol... I have never heard anyone preach it like that. For the first time I realize that God was actually physically present with His people. What am I saying? was... I mean.. He IS present with us, His people. Its sad that I can say it, confess it, but not actually get it. Faith really does come by hearing a very specific message. Tears again... preach it, preach it, preach it. amen

Another great video! Those letters you get show how necessary and important your videos are! Misunderstandings and totally whacked out ideas abound, and only the scriptures can shed light on them to help those less educated and aware avoid being misled. If more people knew, you'd get many thousands of views every week. May God bless you, your work and those about whom you care.

@Revfiskj Sorry - The article does talk about the that last proposal. My mistake.
-
@Revfiskj Just noticed that the 9/13/2011 proposal does not include the "whereas" section. Those are in the 5/17/2011 proposal. Also, the BJS site did not include the resolution to grant ULC up to $250,000 in order to relocate. The resolution was postponed until the December meeting.

@Revfiskj Also, I noticed that the text on the BJS site, the quotes did not include the "whereas" section of the proposal. In other words, If we read only the "resolved" section, all we see is the result of the proposal, and not the reasoning behind it.

@Revfiskj I went to the Minnesota South District Website (mns.lcms.org) and there is a banner on the right hand side that says "Click here to view the Campus Ministry Task Force Proposal". Just click on that and it takes you to all the documents related to the proposal.

Regarding the last email, I think the error could largely be chalked up to poor word choice. Perhaps if the writer had said "type" rather than "metaphor" (which seems possible if one does not really understand typology), there might not be so much error.

Rev Fisk - in the interest of fairness, it might be a good Idea to also post what the Minnesota South District has to say on this matter. It took me about 3 minutes to find at the Minnesota South website. Could you also include that link?

@KennyB221 Interesting idea, although I'm pretty sure the BJS site has links to it via their story. Meanwhile, my google search has not been so fruitful as yours. Care to share how you found it?

Always enjoy the videos, Pastor Fisk, but as an Anglican, I feel the need to correct what you say about our theology. Anglicans believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. When the priest places communion in someone's hand, he says "the Body of Christ, the Bread of Heaven." We don't try to decipher exactly how this happens, a la Rome, but we believe what the Bible teaches, that what we receive is the Body and Blood of Christ.

@neotractarian We will have to respectfully disagree. From my vantage, it is hard to say that Anglicanism such a thing definitively. Rather, the history of the English Church has been given over to vagueness on just this issue. Thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment!
