Elvis Presley Funeral Procession August 18, 1977 (Bill Medley-Old Friend)

August 18, 1977 Elvis funeral service at Graceland was followed by a ceremony and burial. A motorcade of 14 white Cadillacs with Elvis hearse driven by Trent Webb lined the streets from Graceland to Forrest Hill Cemetery.

@ELVISetMoi I also was 11 when he passed and i remember thinking "well this kind of sucks but it's not that big of a deal to me." As I grew older is when I really started realizing what an unbelievable loss the world had taken on August 16th 1977. His voice just grabs you and makes you realize how beautiful he was. My son's middle name is Presley. I went to Elvis candlelight 1997 to pay my respects.Wish I was mature enough at 11 to understand what we had lost. There will NEVER be another. RIP

@ScreamingMayday420 Everyone that knew Elvis speaks of him being humble and just a great guy that everyone liked. NOt like entertainers today with huge egoes for no reason. If ANYONE deserved to have an inflated ego it was THE KING...but he never did, I think in his heart he remained a Tupelo kid.

i,ve been an ELVIS fan for 50 yrs and when i heard he died a part of me died. ,he was the greatest entertainer that ever lived, he had a God given talent,tat never left him. THRU ALL HIS STRUGGLES IN LIFE HE REMAINED TRUE TO HIS MUSIC AND FANS, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THE MAN AND HIS MUSIC FOR THE GIGT HE GAVE THE WORLD .. I remember the first time and the last time I saw Elvis on TV. The first time was in 1955 and the last was 1977 I will never forget his singing and I liked everything he ever sang. Wish he were here now singing and live on stage.

I was 12 years old and I will never forget that time! My parents loved Elvis Presley.I remember hearing the news on the radio and all day long I heard Elvis on the radio :-)
