not to double post, but to double post... yours is a perfection. mine just looks suckish when i compare it to yours.. but mine isnt functional and has no stickers, and isnt painted, cuz its still in its filling and extending stages :s

i just realized the edges are the long parts... wow lol im retarded :D!
i thought the triangular pieces (not the centers) were the edges... got scared, thought i was making it wrong :D

Actually this puzzle has been recently mass produced. I made mine in early 2008 before there was even any word of a mass produced rhombic dodecahedron

How did you make the pieces, did you mold the plastic yourself? Or did you just mod a 3x3? Is a 3x3 core used? How did you get the appropriate sticker sizes?
Sorry for the barrage of questions :)

For the plastic a filled 3x3 pieces and truncated. As for the stickers, i cut a piece of thin cardboard to act as a template. I then traced this shape onto vinyl, cut it out, and rounded the corners.

I painted the pieces with black Krylon Fusion paint and then stickered over the paint.
