If this guy is the original person that sang it,then i'll tell ya,The Imperials did a very good job 'cause the band that they performed it with sounds pretty close to this!

I bought the album for my mother for her birthday in 1968 after she heard it on the car radio and came home from work telling me about it. My brothers and I pooled our monies and bought her the album. Mama loved it; however I loved it MORE! I played it constantly on the family stereo, and when I got married in 1976, I took it with me. What a great song and a wonderful album. Hope to find it on cd someday.
