@rebekahwing2009 dancing shoes, he wanted to give her a special last Christmas present. It meant alot to her. Christmas isn't about presents, we know that. but please just enjoy the song(or watch the movie). You might feel differently if you watch it. I love this movie. It made me cry. :'(

This makes me think of Christmas in a whole new way. I don't even care about gifts that much anymore after hearing this. I think about my life and my family and the little time I have left with them on earth and that, to me, is what Christmas is all about.

@CultClassicMashtah24 It is very natural for a human being to try and do something for a dying one. the man was touched by this little boy's value for family + love and not gifts. That's why he left the dept. store without buying the gifts for his wife and daughter and went to find them instead. Just as man is destined to die once, and after taht to face judgment. (Hebrews9:24) Don't have such negative view on things. God bless.

It also perpetuates the idea that rather than staying with a loved one in their last moments, you should ditch her and go buy shoes (whether your intentions are good or not). So when the narrator says the boy showed him "what Christmas was all about", it comes off like he was talking about the boy's purchase.

We aren't going anywhere but hell unless you accept Christ into your heart.............2.I think what he did was sweet. His mom loved to dance and used to have a pair of
