This is a slideshow of photos taken on the San Blas Island in Panama. It shows a lot of the Juna Indians and their way of life.

  • Christians need to leave these sweet people alone. Y'all make me sick!

  • WAS THERE YEARS BAGO,AND IT WAS WOUNDERFUL. tHE PEOPLE WERE THE MOST FRIENDLY i'VE EVER MET.

  • it's along way from hartlepool via canoe

  • I love Kuna Yala, the land of the Kuna people! It is the most beautiful place I've ever been and I've been to some spectacular places in various countries. The pure white sand is like powdered sugar. The water varies between turquois and deep blue. The only Island I visited was Ustupu which I haven

t returned to for over 40 years. But, I bet I could still find my way around there! I must return there. I must!

  • @coupleofbeers31 Yes they still speak their own language and the Panamanian Government respects their culture and traditions. That's why I Love Panama! Meaning Abondance of Fish Speacies...

  • This is amazing! Is the island essentially 100% kuna? That would make it so unique and even more intriguing. Do the people still speak their own language?

  • Thank you.

  • Thanks, I hope to go some day it looks great.

  • Yes, the people were extremely friendly and welcoming - there are very few places for tourist lodging, however, so you'll need to plan well. Lodging in the islands is rustic but the people are amazingly hospitable. The variety of native cultures in Panama is beautiful, experience it if you can!
