Was he paid by MG for this? No mention of the horrendous fuel consumption and the interior made from cardboard. Looks good though. With better engines (plural) and better materials should be decent enough.
How can they say that it was designed in the UK when its just a rebadged version of a chinese car? I would love MG to be producing more cars, they just need to distance themselves from their chinese owners. It would sell so much better if it wasn't for their Chinese image.
top speed is limited to lower insurance, mg is a great british brand, however the mg6 is designed and ASSEMBLES at the long bridge factory. As proud a brit as I this is not a proper mg and is not sporty or very good on fuel, the ford focus is much better im sorry but this really isnt a proper british car or sitting to the proper british sports idea. Give me a midget anyday!
I don't know why everyone is complaining that MG is now Chinese and not British, here in the States, we don't think that Chrysler is italian even though they are owned by Fiat
@ChanticleerHegemony I worked out that you press the key in but crirically you have to depress the clutch peddle at the same time or nothing happens! Had a quick drive - it's too bad folks!
I used to have an MGB Roadster 1969 with wire wheels and chrome bumbers! I loved the look of the car, it got me lots of admiring glances and attention. But as a sports car it was hopeless! 1300cc Ford Escorts were quicker. It didn't like going round corners much. And leaked badly too!
Does anyone know how to start one of these? I have just had one delivered as a hire car and so far can't work out how to make the blooming thing fire up. There is a fat 'key' that you shove into the hole on the dash but then - what? There's no start button, nothing to turn. No obvious method of turning the engine on. Help!
@Grant0610 sounds like he was paid to test drive it.
