i bought a fold up bluetooth keyboard for mine. works much better. and when im at home i just hook it up to my tv so i have a bigger screen. works for my life. but its not for everyone.

I played on it in Japan. Looks pretty awesome, but it was simply too hard to type on and it didn't have a touchpad. So I went for the Kohjinsha SA1. 7", same resolution as U810, also a rotation touchscreen, 120GB HDD and a actual useful keyboard(tab key hooray) + touchpad. Slightly slower processor though. The only thing I really liked about the U810 is that it's just the smallest damn notebook I've ever seen. The EEE is also fine, but lacks storage, a touchscreen and bluetooth.

Get an Eee. It IS a "full blown computer". You don't have to boot into the Eee's custom interface, you could just go into a regular KDE environment. For those that don't like Xandros (or even Linux), you can install whatever the fuck you want on it - Even Vista if you use vLite, though I don't know why anyone would want to...

And the "luxurious felt lining" stuff is supposedly a heat reducing thing designed to reduce heat on your hands when you hold it in tablet mode.
