  • a cousin of mine had one in south carolina. it ruled the roost over a boxer, and i think a german shepherd and a black lab, long time ago. first time i saw it was on top of the car watching checking out who was coming down the driveway. cousin said it would climb anything it could to have the best vantage point. one man kind of dog. very wary. anyway, it was stolen. y'all check out the carolina dog if you don't know about it and a kangal if you don't know what that is.

  • I actually also had one when I lived in South Carolina, only for several months though due to climbing fences. My dad gave it to a friend who had land further in the country. Which town in SC did your cousin live?

  • I own a pit bull mix with labrador and my dog is too friendly . I want something menacing and the new guinia singing dog looks menacing I bet it would be a great guard dog .

  • I wants something exotic! Whats the fun in having a completely domesticated dog! These dogs can climb! And their flexible! Today's breeds just can't compare. If ppl can own wolf hybrids how come we can't own New Guinea Singing Dogs.

  • Actually, the Carolina Dog & New Guinea Singing Dog are tow separate and distinct breeds.

The Carolina Dog is a pack hunter breed for one thing, which allows him to be domesticated to a degree that you will NEVER be able to domesticate a NGSD. Most NGSD are solitary hunters with some pairing and still fewer that actually hunt in small groups.

The technique of 'becoming the alpha dog' that you have to employ to try to domesticate a CD, will NEVER work with a NGSD. It will backfire.

  • Amazing

  • there are two hundred now and I mean ONLY about two hundred you cant even put one single dog in each country lets think about it again 200 compared to around 7 billion

  • These dogs dont bark, but sing (howl). They are abundant in the wild of Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and some parts of Southeast Asia and South Pacific. I don't think there is a "pure" breed and I don't believe they are in danger of extinction.

  • this dogs are gorgeous. Wow.... im really impressed. These dogs are actually fucking gorgeous... it would be awesome to see them populate a little more and find out more about them. It would suck for them to go instinct. Who knows? maybe in 20 years from now, these dogs will be living in our homes.

  • Look for a video posted by "tomcue2"- you can hear them there!

  • yes me neither
