the beauty process was the first cd i got of them. and the quickly became my favorite band after that =)

The Beauty Process was much more subdued and not as heavy as their previous albums. The albums great achievement are the melodies. Whereas with some of L7's earlier efforts, a good deal of their songs seemed to blend together and the Beauty Process had so many distinct numbers. Sure a lot of them were on the softer side (Non-Existent Patricia, Bitter Wine, and one of the album's highlights, Moonshine) but they also produced 3 of the bands best songs, Drama, I Need, and The Masses are Asses. <3
