I wonder if any other type of paper can be used for this effectively? o.o

I usually use tissue paper.

Tissue paper? Wouldn't that be too soft? Here in the states, what we call tissue paper is very similar to toilet paper in texture/density. The paper in the video looks like wrapping paper, like the type a fish market would use, with wax on one side.

I'm also in the states. It depends somewhat on the quality of the tissue paper. Stuff made from recycled fibers tends to be too fragile, and the cheaper stuff can also be fairly weak and tear easily. However, I have had a lot of success using several different varieties of tissue paper I have picked up over the years.
