Some called him "Face Man", others called him "Starbuck" but we called him Mr. Benedict when kp caught up with him at the San Diego Comic Con.

Dirk Benedict is perhaps best known for playing the characters Lieutenant Templeton "Faceman" Peck in The A-Team television series and Lieutenant Starbuck in the original Battlestar Galactica film and television series.

More recently, Dirk has authored a book titled, "Confessions of a Kamikaze Cowboy" in which he describes his "True Story of Acting, Health, Illness, Recovery, and Life." Learn more at http://www.dirkbenedictcentral.com/confess.php.

  • Will always be one of my childhood heroes, perhaps more so for The A Team (my user name gives me away, huh?), that BSG, which I kind of missed owing to not being born then. However, he is damn right regarding the emasculation of male persona's on tv. With the exceptions of Tony Soprano and Jack Bauer, all of the male characters in tv today seem to be the same bland, identi-kit schmoes. An episode of The A Team had more character and nuts than an entire season of season of Desperate Housewives.

  • Awesome guy :)

  • is he drunk?

  • I certainly do darling. Perhaps if I'm lucky I'll meet him again. LOL

  • I can see why my mother finds him fascinating among other things.

  • He's got his head screwed on properly. I'm surprised he's single though. I loved watching BSG when I was a little boy, and now I'm reliving it with my nephew. That show's got so much more heart than the new BSG.

  • I'll go on a date with you, Dirk! Anytime, let's go!

  • I've met him and I would go on a date with any time. He's very interesting and his book is really good.

  • *raises hand*

can I enter the Win a Date with Dirk contest???? :3
