More relevant than ever before. I remember this song very well - was released in early spring of 1987.

The New Testament shows Jesus indicating morality doesn't count for much. "Those who believe in the Son will find everlasting life and those who do not accept Jesus as god will find gnawing and gnashing of teeth at the gates of heaven". Nice guy this Jesus. I would rather died by Charles Manson any day. And Jesus believed in slavery: "servants obey your master". Jesus knew less about science that preschoolers of today. And on and on I could go .. and so could YOU if you just read the Bible.

I think Karl wrote a great melody but the lyrics though powerful come from the Bible which has really never been an accurate predictor of much. I don't believe in myths and the Bible where parents are to stone and kills children for misbehaving; males can stone and kill false virgins on their wedding night; people are stoned and killed for working on the Sabbath. Ah the wonderful peaceful New Testament. ...

@JohnGLewis1964 March 1st was to be the day Ytube is mandating a change for the worse in their channel design but it has been changed to the 7th. I see you already have the new design. On my site in profile bottom left I have a few of my reasons for hating the new design which is all for creating greater YT profits and will lesson the enjoyment of many Ytubers..

If you are watching on my list of 50, we revert to a more serious note here.
I have titled this as Video of the Year (VTY), 1987. A gripping song, and great video; correct message. I believe we have a rather short sighted vision here in America, and abroad (among other problems), and this was sung of here.
On a personal note, my cousin actually worked for the band shortly, as a crew/deck hand.

@11xzxzxz Not sure what you are referring to; can you elaborate?

March 1st 2012 is the designated date that Youtube will set sail but vengeance will be ours soon after as Youtube will drift off in their endless cruise for profits and flounder and then drop off the side of the earth into the crushing jaws of death below.

@tryphenasparks Nice comment... This was so well done a video (!); very entertaining. One of my favorite parts is when there seems to be fire coming from the mouth of the lead singer.
Well, this sure turned out to be prophetic.
