  • If I spend every Saturday night ( that the kids don't have a need for me ) for the rest of my life sipping bourbon and indulging in Gary Stewart youtube videos, I will die a happy man

  • @aeroshine

I'm having precisely that kind of evening right now. Hangin' out with Evan Williams and Gary Stewart

Man, ain't You Tube great? I've been tracking this phenomenon for a couple of years now, Gary's music is experiencing a definite revival, people are sick of the fluffy, sugar sweet stuff out there now, and they are getting off on the raw, whiskey soaked emotion that defines Gary's music.

  • what a shame the video was posted with such low volume.

  • @jamcrane3 as a drunk person on youtube right now i can totally appreciate your comments

  • Being from FL I grew up listening to Gary Stewart. Now that I'm older and away from home it takes me back to my younger days hanging in Okeechobee. Bonus just found "Essential Gary Stewart" on CD for my Jeep.

  • Gary is a natural talent. It's obvious that his songs come from his heart. Many of his later video's show his true vices, sadly enough.

  • This is real country music. I can't tell you how much I loath today's "country" music! Why even call it country, why not call it light rock? Either way won't this crap sell? I was flipping throught the channels recently and stopped on CMT, where there was some show that had "artists" on stage singing Edgar Winter Group's "Free Ride" and totally rockin' out. I say country music died in '81 with the advent of Alabama. Anyone else have a different year?

  • I will always love Gary Stewart's music, and still want to go bar-hopping and drinking when I hear his songs - - he was the King of Honky Tonk

  • Ladies and gentlemen this IS country music. Gary was by far the best at making you cry and his music was from the heart. Gone but definitely not forgotten.

  • I sure do miss Gary, This song is so true, this is to @REsensee

  • @REsensee Gary will always be a legend to me also.RIP Gary we miss you.

  • I was his biggest fan. Played his music all the time. Sure miss him.
