  • eeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhh really fuck man!!! you're a genius... damn....

  • @McCartanTransport

He saws out most of the waste on all his dovetails. He then comes back and cleans up w/ a chisel. Other people just chisel out the waste.

  • Would you use that on all the dovetails you make, or just the ones where its really tight and narrow at the top. A close-up of when you cut out the waist would have helped as well. Thank you for your postings though!

  • Pretty slick.

  • ...oh, and I'm sure that as he says (he's a master, I cannot call myself even a "beginner, LOL!") you can add more tension to avoid as much bowing as possible.

  • I think these jeweler's saws are easier to change blades on blade changes, because of that top wing nut.

  • I am an absolute newbie in this field. However, from what I've read and seen I gather this is what most people call jeweler's saw or an adjustable fret saw--although I think the most common name is "jeweler's". Do a search on YouTube for "jeweler's saw"--lots of tutorials for, er... jewelers, using this type of saw.---------

  • we have different fret saws at school. I thought WTF is this when i saw yours, beacause our saws are bigger, and do not have the up/down tenson adjustability.

  • Great post.
