  • Good video, but how do the parachutes work, surely the would all get tangled with each other?

  • At the end of the video you can see the people on the outside of the formation turning around, moving their arms back, and moving forward. This is called the break away. For this jump the break altitude was around 7000ft. Bringing the arms back produces a fast forward movement called tracking.These guys will track for 20sec down to about 3000ft before deploying their canopies. Every few seconds more skydivers breaks off and dispersal is produced. Look at my other 400 way video for a better idea.

  • lol, they track away from each other to gain space.

    no they will not "die" if they open close together, there is just more risk of line entanglements etc.
