Race, religion still divide nation: PM

Religious and racial divisions have brought Malaysia to the "brink of disaster" in the past and continue to hamper its growth, the country's premier said during the Gerakan's annual general assembly recently.

Ahmad Badawi is the weakest PM of Malaysia and also the weakest in the world. I have no idea how Mahathir was so blind to apoint him as his replacement. Sad years to come for Malaysia.

Wasn't that the bone of contention? Who has more and who has less and who should get more and who is getting less? How can we build a country on this sense of need and greed. Soon as one person gets a litle more another will say he is geting less. And then the complaining will start. Spreading like a virus that fuels disatisfaction. It never ends. Where is the gratitude for the peace that WE have worked so hard for? People are so blind and stupid.

All communities in this country are racist to the degree that they do not or cannot accept each other. There is no counter-balance, within these communities. That is, no attempt to recognise the Other as someone

who should be respected as a fellow Malaysian and human being.
