A leftover track from Roisin Murphy's "Overpowered" album, recorded and produced with Calvin Harris, Roisin did not like the track so decided not to use it (even as a B side).

Sophie Ellis-Bextor originally had a "Greatest Hits" compilation scheduled for a Christmas 2007 release, but she felt she needed more time to finesse the tracklisting and couldn't decide on the content of the second disc for the deluxe edition.

Sophie then found the studio sessions for the new single releases from the planned Greatest Hits, were going FAR better on a creative level than was expected. This resulted in the Greatest Hits being cancelled in favour of a fourth studio album "Make A Scene".

Sophie also recorded the other (rejected by Roisin) Calvin track "Don't let it go to your head boy", but as yet it has failed to leak.

  • I think the Sophie Ellis-Bextor version is stronger. It has a stronger vocal in my opinon.

  • Oh god, this debate is getting boring & is going to go on & on. . .

Personally, I prefer Roisin's & when I originally posted this video, the Sophie version did not even exist!

  • is there anywhere you can listen to the rejected song by roisin?

  • Um, this video is the rejected song. It will never receive an official release from Roisin.

It was later re-recorded by sophie & has also been posted on Youtube.

The Sophie version is expected to appear on her 2010 album, but will have songwriting credits by Calvin Harris & Roisin & was only offered to Sophie when Roisin decided she did not like it, after recording it during recording sessions for her "Overpowered" album from 2007.

  • oh ok so both this and ''Don't let it go to your head boy'' got rejeceted by roisin? Is sophie going to to both or just ''off an on''

  • The album tracklisting remains unknown at this time, if one (or both) end up not being used they may later be used as "B" sides.

  • Ohh....this song is amazing.! And your video is also fantastic....it should be offical video.! :D

  • She is such a fool, cuz Calvin Harris is one of the best artist in the world

  • Sophie ellis bextor vocals for this track ARE FLAT.

  • she have very speciala voice

  • Another brilliant track written by the amazingly tallented Cathy Dennis

  • i like ruby blue so much better, but this song is good too

  • It must be nice to be so good at making AMAZING pop music that you can afford to throw away a track like this! I prefer Roisin's version, but I like Sophie's as well, so it's all good.

  • Both Róisin and Sophie have characteristic voices that both fit this song very well. I like both versions equally much.

  • Even though Roisin doesn't have a powerful voice, she can deliver, she owns her songs. Each and every single one of them have so much emotion and you feel what she is going through with every single word in the lyrics. Incredibly beautiful woman with an unbelievable talent of delivering a song message and great sense of style!

  • I miss Moloko!
