Bravery and innocence has a face - P2 - Maryam Sabri (rape victim)

Interview by Voice Of America. Heartbreaking story of a young girl who was arrested during
the recent demonstartions in Iran.
Here is a compelete translation (as best as I could):

My name is Maryam Sabri, 21 years old. I was arrested during the recent demonstartions
in the "Beheste Zehra" cemetary.Our opinion was that there had been irregularities in the
recent election. I dont know where they transfered me to becouse my eyes were blindfolded. But I know that it took us about an hour to get there...I know this becouse my feet had gone asleep after sitting in the van for so long and I could not stand on my legs after we were taken out.

I spent aproximately two weeks in costudy. During these two weeks, from the begining we were
physicaly tortured (slaps in the face, beatings with sticks and kicked at). Some were
beaten more, some less. This continued for about two days, we were either beaten with sticks or insulted inorder to brake our spirit.

They would come, hit the cell door while telling us "your execution orders
has been issued. You wanted your vote back huh?... Lets see who supports
you now? Mousavi? Karroubi? (presidentail candidates) Who can support you here? Look where you are". Than they would take me outside and let me stay there for I dont know how long before telling me that the execution cannot be carried out today, but it will some other day....

They took me to some place, with eyefolds and handcuffs. They took off my clothes with force.
It didn´t matter how much I cired, sceamed or bagged them not to do this. It didn´t effect them
at all. It seemed like they didn´t see or hear my cries or screams. Than I was sexually abused.
I dont know how long it took but I do remember taht I cired so much taht I almost fainted away.
I couldn´t understand anymore what was happeneing, I couldn´t remember anything. I didn´t think about anything. I just kept crying.

After that I was again taken back to the cell. Dont know how long passed becouse I had no conception
of time. But they again took me out and again did the same thing to me. The same procedure.
This time I was beaten up badly and they took me there (to rape her), but the vioce didn´t
belong to the same person as the last time. This was someone new that was torturing me.
I was sexually abused 4-5 times. During those moments they would just scream "come and
take your vote back. We are giving it to you. Be happy, why are you crying? We are just
giving your vote back to you. Its your own opinion. You wanted it. Why did you go out in the
streets (demonstarting)? It means you are a loose person (whore or something like that). Hence
you deserve what ever happens to you".

The last time taht they took me in that room which was thier torture chamber or what ever they call
it, there was two of them. In those other occacions there was only one person, but this time
they were two. This becouse two voices could be heard in there. They called eachother by name.
After they beat me up they again removed my clothing but this time I didn´t have any power left
in me to react, or to resist them. I had nothing else to say becouse I knew taht what ever I
said in taht moment would just please him even more.

He (one of those in the room) told the other officer to leave the room. The other one said "No,
I cannot" and reffered to the first one by name. The first one than insisted that the other leaves
th room and that is what he did. After he had left the first one asked me "so what was is taht
you wanted in the streets? Why were you in the streets?" But as soon as wanted to say something
I was told to "shut up, dont say anything. Just listen" and when I didn´t say anything
he would beat me and say "Why dont you say anything? Say something". Then he removed my eyefolds and I could see that person. I cannot ever forget his face, I mean his face is in my nightmares"
