Hate, Hate, Hate...you are so full of hate. You have a sad pathetic life. What a loser. The good news is that people so full of hate die sooner than those without hate. So, in the end...I win!

@treefrog10001 Jesus Christ welcomed/accepted anyone from any walk of life that was willing to believe in the truth and surrender to GOD and repent of sin and have a personal relationship with him and his father GOD which involved love, trust, faithfulness etc...
To say that Jesus Christ and his father GOD is bound or exclusive to a religion(Christ is against religion btw) is clearly wrong and incorrect. If you want to know who GOD and his son Jesus Christ really are read the HOLY BIBLE.

"under god" wasn't inserted into the pledge until the 1950's. the founding father's were all anti-religionists. also jesus is a faggot, period.

"but to leave it out altogether from the government"
Merely acknowledging a Creator is doing exactly what you say they weren't doing, dummy.
"Freemasonry was synonymous with atheist"
How do you reconcile this with the Freemas membership requirement that one must beleive in a Creator? You're just full of shit.
"They couldn't admit they were not believers"
Even in their own personal correspondence to each other? Please, why do you continue this bullshit?
-
Just being a Freemason doesn't mean you're not a Christian. So you're saying our Founders were Muslims?

Thomas Paine, one of the framers of the constitution wrote the book, "The Age of Reason", which criticized institutionalized religion and challenged the legitimacy of the Bible and corruption of the Christian Church and its efforts to acquire political power

@IntellectualAddict "Wrong. More than 1/2 were Episcopalian/Anglican, none were Atheist. That is a lie the Left would have us all believe. "which is why they compromised on using the word "Creator"" Wrong again, it was meant to respect all religions." It wasn't to "respect all religions" but to leave it out altogether from the government, Freemasonry was synonymous with atheist in many parts of the word which is why the kept their society "secret". They couldn't admit they were not believers.

@IntellectualAddict Yes, I know, but many of the framers of the constitution were Freemasons, and Freemasons were forbidden to talk about their religious beliefs other than believing in a "Creator" whether that be Allah, Jesus, God, Mother Nature, etc. In their lodges, that is.
We are one nation under God... not under Christ. I think by the very nature of the founding father's wanting separation of church and state. To remain neutral in who God is... what we need to be looking at and not inserting Christ into the equation. God can be the Jewish God, Christian God... Hindu God... Because God is universal and all inclusive. Christ is exclusive. And the US is not exclusive by any means.

"Hindu God"
Your God, maybe. But not the God referred to in phrases such as "In God We Trust." Nor the one reflected in the artwork adorning our government buildings.
By the way, Hindus have more than one god.
