Song is "Video Games Clash" by Phunk Electric. You can find them on eMusic.

update 11/23/08
Video games are easy targets for politicians who want to look like they're doing something useful. Either they're telling us we're too sexy, or too violent, or ordering our tax dollars to be spent to fund their studies.

But consider games as a metaphor for ANYTHING else you choose to do. Today it's games, tomorrow it's any other application of free speech. Don't fool yourself into thinking that your pet leisures are off limits, because every infringement is a justification, a precedent, for the next.

If they do it to games, they can do it to books, music, movies, newspapers, you name it. Time to stop the loss of liberty.

Ron Paul proved through his actions that he is honest in his quest to restore the Constitution. Whether you agree with him on all points or not, he seems to be the man to steer us out of oncoming traffic. He stands firm against getting the gov involved in regulating or taxing the internet, and opposes going after the video game industry.

But while Ron Paul can give guidance and insight on the issues, WE need to be the ones taking hold of the flame of liberty.

Join the Campaign For Liberty, and get involved.

  • Try this recent headline out for size:

    (from Wired blog network)

U.S. Spies Want to Find Terrorists in World of Warcraft By Ryan Singel EmailFebruary 22, 2008 | 2:15:43 PMCategories: Spooks Gone Wild

    quote:

"The Reynard project will begin by profiling online gaming behavior, then potentially move on to its ultimate goal of "automatically detecting suspicious behavior and actions in the virtual world."

All your XP are belong to us! Allow government an inch and it will be your ruler. Peace.

  • Hi Joe,

In our current state of Roman bread and circuses, our eyes are glued to entertainment.

It's very telling when our Caesars presume authority for "small" actions such as these.

This is most certainly not my largest concern, though it is a metaphor for much larger, more serious and pressing issues.

How can we allow infringements on the 1st amendment without also gladly giving away, for example, habeas corpus?

I'm glad you realize that a lot is happening out there.

    peace.

  • Awesome video man! You got to update this for Ron Paul 2012! Your right gamers are an overlooked group we got to get them on our side.

  • I have max gold in FF7, can that help anything?

  • DONT TAZE ME BRO!!!!

  • taking away games...shit thats not right. o.o

  • ron paul ain't got no idea what the constitution actually says

  • I make video games for a living, Im actualy modeling right now. but VG are not the biggest issue for me when i vote. I dont think Entertainment should be in anyones top 10 reasons unless you are in the buisness in someway. even then its #10 or 9.

  • This is representative of a much more serious issue: You can't claim your 1st amendment rights if you are denying someone else their 2nd, or 4th, or whatever example you choose. You can't be safe if the 'leaders' aren't required to follow the rules, the most fundamental rules being the very simple U.S. Constitution. (Rule of Law, not of men)

As Americans lose their freedoms bit by bit, the entire world is less safe. Ron Paul doesn't want to run our lives. He wants to follow the Constitution.

  • haha

  • what are you even talking about
