STOP CLAPPING. JESUS.

Hate these Stricty performances from Musicals - the show casts are great, but the Strictly professionals completely detract from the performance with characterless BALLROOM dancing which seems pointless and out of context.

the singers are behind the beat. kanter and ebb would slap you back to ost end!

Even watching the start bit where all of them are doing the chicago moves, you can see that the SCD proffessionals were out of sync with the cast at points. Why couldn't they have just left them to do the number themselves, its some of the best choreography around, its Fosse for god's sake.

That's how choreography is supposed to be done!!! Look at how effective those "small" moves are, such as the shoulder roll and hip pop. Just goes to show that sometimes simple choreography is sometimes better. Then when you get to the climax, when everyone is dancing and the music speeds up, its that much more effective. GO CHICAGO!!!

@annoyingawesomeness Which 'original'? Chita Rivera, Bebe Neuwirth or Ute Lemper? Chita created the role of Velma on Broadway in 1975; Bebe and Ute were, respectively, the first Broadway and West End Velmas of the current revival...
