who would name their child "eucharia?"

this is terrifying

I think "Members of the Unhuman-Race" is a little bit of a reference to H.P. Lovecraft. Anyone? Anyone?

@Figgydonut "Night on Bald Mountain!" I knew I'd forgotten one.
I rewatched that one over and over, too. The funny thing is that my parents used to fast-forward through it because they thought it would frighten me. That is, until they realized I liked it.
I saw your avatar and for some reason my brain read your whole post in Fluttershy's voice. This is very amusing to me.

@ArtemisLiliths Me too, my favorite parts of movies as a kid was always the scary/messed up parts. For example, when I was a little kid I always watched over and over again in the Disney movie "Fantasia", the piece "Night on Bald Mountain" because I thought it was so badass. Stuff like "Grinch is Gonna Get You" makes my heart smile with diabolical glee.

Why didn't the Grinch use this crazy ass thing when he was trying to rid the world of Christmas. This probably would have ruined the spirit.

I think Dr. Seuss played too much Yume Nikki.

Ahh, I remember watching this cartoon when I was younger. Anyone I talked to about it said it was very off putting and creepy. I couldn't agree more, however, the animation style (which reminds me of Bakshi) sets the mood well, and the sense of foreboding and fear, though subtle, was a very neat and different experience from Dr. Suess's other stories.

What the FUCK is wrong with dr. Seuss............excuse me I need to go find what's left of my sense of reality

This still kind of weirds me out and scares me a bit. And I'm 25. Anyone feel the same way?

I loved this movie as a child, I still watch it every Halloween.
For some reason, this was always my favourite part of the movie, I would watch it over and over again...
Then again, I did the same thing with the "Pink Elephants on Parade" and "Heffalumps and Woozles" songs. All the things that scared everyone else to death, I loved.
