  • I think this is an example of him being best mates with Vaughan Williams. It seems to be very sea shanty-folk songy, a genre that seems, for me, to hold him back from establishing his own credentials.

    I like them both anyway, but for me Holst's orchestration, as per The planets, is brilliant. I also thought The Planets rocked even on two pianos!

  • This is quite a brilliant recording. Do you happen to know if it's the same recording as the video of 13Orcun's? Great song in every way, though. I love the bassoon parts!
