the problem is that in a winner take all non-parliamentary system the votes are almsot always thrown away adn you'd have to be an idiot to take the time to vote for someone who cant win... they could be includedin debates but that doesnt solve the problem of their general unelectability

@PeaceCzar So are most Democratic and Republican politicians, it seems. Our government does not seem to have any issues with corporations having such immense wealth and influence. Corporations can get away with a lot and seem to use their wealth and influence to influence legislation changes that further support them.

AL GORE 2012
WE NEED MANBEARPIG AWARENESS
And where is 'Al Gore on the 2011 Japan Crisis'?

What are all you people bitching about?! News outlets are private institutions and can do what ever the hell they want. That is the law. If somebody wants news media to switch to a BBC type set up, by all means make the move. I would be happy to support you. However, as it is, T.V. is private.

Amen to that!!!

Ron Paul was the best canidate that actually represented real republican/libertarian values. Enough with Theocratic Fascists.

Gore's position that there are "main" candidates is favoritism. A pre election screening. This means that our choices are purposely limited by a select few. This endures the status quo.

We technically have 1 real party. The republican party, most of the people who ran for president last year, were ignorant fascists (although Ron Paul wasn't bad).
And even at that, all of the Democrats are braindead also.
God, America sucks.
Gore says the private media corporations should have the right to determine who is and who isn't included.
Gore defers to the First Amendment rights of corporations OVER citizens & candidates.
GORE IS A CORPORATIST. He says no differently.
