Tornado Warning -- Chicago, August 4th 2008 and Building Getting Struck By Lighting

This was during the 2008 Chicago Tornado Warning. Our building was struck by lighting. You can hear the electricity running through the building. It scared the crap out of us!

yeah umm...that wasn't the lightning running through the building, that was the lightning running down the grounding lines and the energy trying to feed back into your electrical appliances (normally preempts the sound of something blowing up or catching fire in a shower of sparks)

heard it before, seen it happen, never a good thing

funny how if u live in chicago u know that the sirens mean as opposed to my region where i would not understand what the sirens meant
