  • I had one just like this back in the day and it was one wicked ride. I had the R4B intake and a 850 Holley with headers and custom exhaust and it was a 4 speed car too. My Machine surprised many folks on the streets back then. Thanks for the video and memories, AMC forever !

  • @jdecray AMC changed the name from rebel to matador. Ever notice the similarities? I also had a 72 matador. 2- 74's and a 75. My first car was a 70 hornet 304. Always thought a Gremlin with a 401 would be fun. There is a guy here in town that still has a gremiln with a 401, a blue rebel, and a red, white, and blue rebel "the machine" just like the one in this vid.

  • That's a beautiful car.... Pure AMC.. I love it.....

  • We just bought one of these, got it for a steal, old man died.old lady didnt know what to do.

  • let me ask you what kind of communists are we? us Americans letting a car company called AMERICAN MOTORS die? i mean really? id by 30 of these before i bought what the japs were supplying at the time

  • My brother use to own one just like it his was a 4 speed. I remember we use to cruise around in it listening to steely dan. Man those were the days!

  • have any spare parts????

  • Greetings Rob!!! Neat to actually hear you Reb. You've got one hell of a machine!!

  • I have one that may look very similar to it but red with white stripe and blue underskirt.

  • sweet piece, had a 72 matador with the 390 ran great, that's a nice straight unit, good one
