  • @CrownRoyal1945 In the Canadian Armed Forces they're replacing them with newer volcom rubber soled drill boots which look extremly stupid and have been branded with the name Frankenstines, due the style in which they were made and how difficult and long it is to polish them. Not to sure on the British However.

  • I serve in the Royal Canadian Army in the Royal 22e Regiment. The boots we wear are simmilar or identical even to the Mark II Drill Boots that the British Armed Forces Wear, they have steal plates at the toe and heel, and absolutely almost no grip, tread, or traction to the ground, in most cases resulting in slipping. Its absolutely tiring, for one they tell us to engage our core's while wearing the boots, and no matter what to try and stay upright, locking your knees also results in collapsing.
