The Steven Solomon Trio plays Bolivia by Cedar Walton. Performed at Steven's Centennial Honors College Project Recital at the COFAC Recital Hall at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois on March 28, 2011. Featuring Steven Solomon at the piano with Andrew Geyssens on bass and Carter Stirtz on drums. Steven has been studying jazz piano at the university in a studio with Dr. Michael Stryker since the fall of 2008 and playing since that time in the universities top jazz ensemble, JSO (Jazz Studio Orchestra) under the direction of Dr. John Cooper. Since his freshman year at WIU, Steven has also been taking a studio in classical piano with Dr. Tamie Walker. Before that Steven, took piano lessons for 14 years (starting at the age of 4), with Julie Lovison, Director of the Lake Shore Music Studio in Chicago.
