ugh I have pimples all over my back and chest. When I change in the locker rooms in school, I try to change quickly to hide them.

I've had severe acne since about 13 (it's hereditary) and I'm almost 30. There's a huge difference between people who get a few zits and people who suffer from it no matter what. I've tried it all. And like the common cold, there is no cure. You can only treat it. No I've never considered that fact because most people never go what we go through starting at puberty. I just don't like it when people who DON'T have acne try to tell me how to get rid of it, not knowing how hard it is.

Use Proactive..but it costs alot. Im a teen (just turned 13) and grew acnes around 10. I asked my mom about Proacive, she ordered a small pakacage- (about $50?) Idk I forgot. It worked wonderfully and she kept ordering from now on.

Does working out at the gym cause more acne because of the increased hormone ?

@amwahid25 Yeah I'm about to turn 32 and still have it. It's not as bad as my late teens/early twenties but it hasn't vanished. I quit smoking a few months ago, have been working out regularly, and started eating healthier. Unfortunatley it hasn't really changed that much. I thought quitting smoking would definitley help but I don't really see a difference. i think a healthy diet can help but it's not the answer. I also cut down drinking but that didn't do anything either.

@southparkresident I had acne on my face for about three years but I started using a medication that I applied to my skin every night and it had done wonders! It's called Dalacin, I think there's another name for it too but I'm not sure what it is. I tried it on my chest to try and get rid of those pimples but it doesn't seem to be working on my chest acne. It's great for my face though!
