Photos and movies taken on 1-19-08. Two and one half years later, New Orleans is still in bad shape. Where are the homes? Where are the people? Where is the USA money going?

  • the 9th ward looked like shit BEFORE the hurricane.

  • I am quite sure that the people that lived in the ninth did not think that. It was their home. Its were their children grew up.

  • but where did all the people go,

  • 300,000 left

  • Ah Yes! A Zepplin fan. Great Video. How was Inspection World?

  • Great except only about 600-700 inspectors. They use to get 1200.

  • It is not the people of America who are killing your children, it is the brutality of the Bush administration. Iraqi people are killing themselves, and our brothers and sisters. It is called fratricide.

  • Wow looks like this place is still bad :( I imagine people just move and gave up on the place, Abannded pretty much...i just hope all these people found homes and dont live on the streets or even in the projects even. Also is those tents from 2 yrs later too? Wow thats sad hopefulyl the find a real home soon... Its sad no one wants to help them :/

  • It's not just black people who suffered from it. If you watch Spike Lee's great documentary, WHEN THE LEVEES BROKE available on You Tube, you'll see white people also. It's the POOR who died and suffered. I saw a photo of a bloated black man in the water and a boated white man face up (what was left of his face and arm after alligators had eaten him). It was like watching something in a third rate country, except it was our country. It's unacceptable! Bush & his cronies are responsible for it.

  • How about something maybe you can understand. Those lazy bastards!

  • You are saying "THESE PEOPLE" as if you are really saying something profound. When I said, AMERICANS, I meant everyone LEGAL citizen of the country, including YOU!

  • These people don't wanna work!

  • There's alot to do alright. How about all you lazy bastards get up off your asses and start cleaning up! Oh, that's right you want someone else to do that for you!

  • damn..... 5:30 carton of kools $27.25 damn thats cheap!

  • This is a damn shame. Two and 1/2 years later....that is amazingly unbelievable. I wonder if those locations look the same today (December 2,2009) I'm doing a research report on Hurricane katrina and the negative affects that it had on African Americans before, durin, and after the storm. I have read so much and continue to be intrigued day by day by what I am learning about the negligence of the government , department of homeland security, FEMA, etc. This proves that America is still racist.

  • That's my New Orleans! I'm skedaddling out of this crummy burgh. It's becoming more and more "ghetto" by the day, except for the gentrified sections of Uptown and Algiers, which are like the most pretentious parts of Boston. Of course, one more Katrina like Hurricane, especially if it hits Grand Isle and tracks NNW, will mean that N.O. will BEAT Detroit as the first major US city to be utterly abandoned.

  • I see a lot of jobs for a lot of Americans. What's up? Where's Jindal? Oh, I forgot he didn't take the stimulus. Perhaps if he did, the unemployment rate would improve. I don't mean bringing in illegals either.
