This is a video of Tough Guy- Year of the Original Heroes 2010. Tough Guy is held on the last weekend of January every year at Mr Mouse's Farm for the Unfortunates, Near Perton in the UK.
It is said to be the most difficult assault course in the world.
Obviously this is not all of the Course, the first part is a 6 country mile run, this is just a small selection of the better parts of the Killing Fields...

Thanks must go to http://www.outdoorgb.com/ for providing thermal kit and the GoPro Wide-Angle Helmet Hero used (found here: http://www.outdoorgb.com/p/GoPro_Wide_Hero_Add_on_5_Megapixel_170_degree_Fish... ). I would also like to thank Mr Mouse, all the organisers of Tough Guy and St. John Ambulance. Also the Jelly Baby cadets, who gave us all that little burst of energy we needed to survive the killing fields.

The Music used is not mine, and is (c) of its respective owners.

Thanks!
Ben

  • I remember seeing this when you first uploaded the video as i did the event and was continuously looking for new uploaded videos that i could show my friends. This is by far the best and i had forgotten all about it until i saw a video showing extreme sports in POV using a Go pro Camera. I'm really tempted to film the next TG in 2011 along with a few other events im taking part in. Would you say the Go Pro is worth getting or would it be more beneficial to get the full HD version?

  • @Boyddie

haha, thanks man! I do the same before each race and people are only really beginning to put up decent videos.

As for the choice between HD or the normal camera, i would say that if you're gonna use the camera for quite a few things, it may be worth getting the full on HD one, as you really can tell the difference. I've used mine for Canyoning, Via Ferrata, Mountain Biking, Ringoing, Parapenting, and Sailing, and at points-especially when there are amazing views, HD would be great...

  • cool ;D

what is the name of the last song ?

    thank you!

    :)

  • @0nikeairmax erm...its i'm a beast by tech n9ne...thanks for watching!!!

  • I love the part where most "tough guys" look like sissies, for example plank walking, all by the rail, and elsewhere, slow and uncoordinated :-)

WOULD LOVE TO TRY IT ONE DAY.

  • @asskickerfoo haha...thats what happens to your mind when its been submerged in minus temperatures after having overheated in thermal clothing.

At the end last time i had to be undressed by my girlfriend...i didnt know where i was and i didnt stop shaking for hours...luckily, shes very good at warming me up ;-)

  • @kskdtr Hey dude, you want thin thermals that cover your legs and your upper body...try and get ones that dont hold too much water. Also i found wearing a swimming cap, a thermal hat that can cover your ears, and gloves quite useful, as you can have them off for the run and then put them on before you get wet, and it helps a lot. The run at the beginning gets pretty warm, but its worth it when you get to the cold bits. Also Fancy dress is a must!!!

  • This was the last year I did ToughGuy - did it four years running and said "No more". Just watched this and now I'm wondering... Maybe one more time for old times sake?
