If it does not move you emotionally, it doesn't matter how fast you play. These guys are technical wizards no doubt. However, in terms of tastee melodic and different sounding, I give my vote to Joe. Don't get me wrong Walter is good guitarist but he needs to let his playing breath a little. Too frenetic and "on" all the time is not good. Relax a little. It isn't the end of the world.

So bad ass.. Proud to say I've roadied for Walter and I was best friends with the organ players son's wayyyy back.. Walter is such a weird, funny, humble guy.. Seems like he's getting tire of it all though. Physically, not mentally.

teh guy with the blue looking shirt owns because of his Tone the other guy needs to use a bluesy or atleast a classic metal tone not a terrible over terblified and over distoretd tone sounds pretty bad,

@tommy1gtr maybe so, but 9 times out of 10 that seems to be the case. if you dont like it, fine. but saying it lacks soul or something is just wrong and you ARE making an excuse. you are trying to justify what YOU think is "better" by saying it has more soul than fast or highly technical playing. btw, i think trout is "wanking" here and didnt enjoy it. joe seemed to have more class and tasteful playing even when playing more advanced stuff. i dont think either lacked soul though.

@timmy47 just because some people think speed takes away from feeling that does NOT always mean they are making excuses as to why they are not better players!! some people just don't prefer or like that intense style of playing (or wanking). and that also does not mean they are just going to repeat the same blues licks over and over again ethier.

no seriously, i dont know if it's just because youre a big fan of him but just forget that for a minute and listen...his fast licks are exactly the same every time and are rather messy (but this is an opinion)
