spent a few hours with Helen last month...and YES, overwhelmingly ...she believes in self love!!!

It sounds like a very narcistic song, but it is very comforting. I wonder if she, with the disease she is currently suffering, would still have the same sentiments.

That's weird. You'd think it was made for radio. She is sitting as still as a statue, truly awful lighting (that green makes her look ill). Why?
On the plus side, she has the voice of an angel. I must say, I do prefer the slower, acoustic take in the movie Airport 1975, but she could sing a shopping list and it would sound awesome. (Just get a choreographer and a lighting director, OK Helen?)

I enjoyed the Airport 1975 version. It was slow and poignant. Very sweet. It's my favorite part of the movie (the rest is just 1970s hilarious stuff). I like the uptempo version too, but much more appreciate the quicker, slow version with just the guitar. Such a sweet song.

Also, Helen has Addison's disease. My cousin has Addison's and it takes such a great toll on your body. Very painful. She mentioned that was one reason why she stopped performing.

I never forgot her!!!!
i saw airport 1975 at a movie theater in 1974 when i was 10 years old and i thought it was a great film. watching it now as an adult i do admit that scene with helen reddy as a singing nun and linda blair as a critically sick child is very cheesy but i still love it. the whole movie is pretty cheesy but still very entertaining.
