Irene Yeh Ailing 叶瑷菱 pop queen bridges the C-pop generation that stretches between the modern pop-rock-hip hop-r&b a decade here into the new millenium, and the old-school folk-pop rock and big-band ballad crooning Mandopop standards from the Taiwan scene of the 1960-70's. Irene Yeh broke into the spotlight in the mid-1980's with her smash-hit songs I LOVE YOU 我爱你 and MY HEART IS CLOSED FOR BUSINESS 我心已打烊, continued a path of memorable and racy songs. This is a video-medley of a few of her many hits that I've put together as a 25 year commemorative for this great diva of Mandopop; Irene Yeh was certainly the most prominent so-called bad-girls of C-pop of the 1980's with her passionate and racy lyrics singing, although she may not have been so prominently featured in the spotlight as with the likes of Mandopop-rock queens such as Julie Hsu 苏瑞 and Bili 芘莉.

I also make this a special dedication to all the good-natured and beautiful-hearted friends here in Youtube-world who are here to do two things: HAVE FUN, and help set the record straight (that which is made crooked by the abusers and special-agenda pervs of our free speech).

Note: Irene Yeh's name can be spelled in English with the old Wade-Giles method as Yeh Ai-ling, or the modern Hanyu pinyin method as Ye Ailing.

Songs in this video music medley are in the following order: 1) I Love You 2) Be Beautiful 3) Do the Lambada 4) Do You Know Me? 5) The Sunshine Samba [with that famous hook from Blondie's "Rapture" song] 6) My Love... is Willing

  • oh please this song is 因为所以 who is that fool that say this song is wo ai ni ????

  • @and8825

You're correct that this song's called "因為所以", and I knew that all along, but I just forgot about it when I scrambled to put up this light tribute to Irene Yeh... perhaps it was a deep personal psychology of mine in how I felt about this legendary diva when I called it "I Love You" instead. Foolish? Perhaps. But what's it to you? Love on the rocks?

    Enjoy great C-Pop and C-Rock and C-Etc!

  • where is the song that she sang called strange world from the movie twelve animals w

  • Sizzling highs, stirring lows!

    What a voice. What versatility.

Above all, beauty and personality to match.

  • beautiful and hot songs by this cpop singer! i really like how she sang the merengue style of songs, great dancing tunes, it's like chinese-latin pop ^^ \/

  • in the middle of 1990s, Japanese and Korean dramas came in our life. I listened to lots of Hong Kong songs and watched LOTS of Hong Kong dramas in the 1990s ^^ I still keep the tapes of those songs. they are full of 3 drawers :p

  • I like the first song most. couldn't stop humming with her when listening to the song ^^

she is 歌后. it seems she once was very popular in the 1980s. to be honest, I didn't know her before u told me :p actually, in the mainland of China, we didn't get to know Taiwan artists until the very late 1980s. but after that, tons of Taiwan/Hong Kong songs and dramas flew into the mainland. we could also watch some Western films in some local channels on TV.
