GG Allin was a genius--at least in his field of work. Most geniuses are eccentric. It was ugly in my view, but he took common ideals to their logical end (sickening naked depravity, perversity, and outright violence). He planned to commit suicide onstage in order to show his audience the grotesque reality of the things implied which they cheered for more of, but he died of a drug overdose before he could do that.
