  • That is the stupidest thing. Premix thin set or mastic is not a floor grade material. Also waiting 3 weeks to seal the tiles. Some of my customers are watching those stupid videos and saying, no you have to wait 3 weeks before you can seal it. By the time 3 weeks passes by, their grout is already dirty. Also customers buy Mastic for the floors. Just because Lowes wants to sell the $35 3.5 gallon bucket??

  • I didnt even want to tile my floor, then i ended up doing so because of this video!!! sweet~!!!!!!

  • There are a lot of things wrong with this video. The mastic used was the wrong kind for the tile size. The trowel was also too small. He also forgot to apply thin-set under the cement backer board. The thin-set not only helps to level the low and high spots it also helps secure the backer board. This is a very important step and any tile professional will tell you to do this. You can also use a roofing nail gun and galvanized roofing nails to attache the cement board.

  • u idiot mastic is for wall tile 4x4 at the most i bet that floor has been tore up and redone a week after this video was made next time get thin set tile mortar genius dude really posted a video acting like a pro doin it with the wrong shit

  • I would never use a pre-mixed adhesive you just cant beat the powdered cement based tile adhesive for bond strength, and he should of used a trowel with deeper notches to give a better bed onto the adhesive.

  • If only there were more Geoffs on the planet- well done Geoff

  • @flyershockey17 The video suggested a 1/4 inch gap between cut tile edges and the wall. That gap will be covered by the wood trim, hiding any irregularities in the cut. By the way, what method of measuring and cutting do you use, that you can't make a straight line? Do you trim your tiles with a hammer? LOL

  • If you like the tiles and everything that surrounds their placement, visit the best Blog on tiling the world:

  • I mastrebate on a regular basis..........but not while tiling

  • i didnt know using a level was wrong for looking for crowns... becasue of lowes i now know to visually figure it out... thank you lowes

  • lowes is fucking stupid!!! i hope jeff klamet is unemployed! maybe we should start using mastic on our shower floors and premixed grout on them too! hey!!! why should we mix anything!?
