Bioplant PCB Destruction Plant

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are a class of organic compounds with 1 to 10 chlorine atoms attached to biphenyl, which is a molecule composed of two benzene rings. The chemical formula for PCBs is C12H10-xClx, where x = 1-10. PCBs were widely used for many applications, especially as dielectric fluids in transformers and capacitors and coolants. Due to PCB's toxicity and classification as persistent organic pollutants, PCB production was banned by the United States Congress in 1976 and by the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants in 2001.
Our new technology has been in development for over 12 years and Bioplant is now proud to announce that this technology is now ready for market release. Current test data indicates that no residues left after processing the PCB's and this data is available on request. The unit has been designed as a modular unit that fits into a 40ft shipping container and has the capacity to destroy 10 tonnes of PCBs each day and furthermore, the unit is a portable design, and thus, able to process the PCB's at clients business.
